Novak Djokovic, 35, not only won the 2023 Australian Open with ease but is on his way to become the winner of the most grand slam titles of all time.
The Serb is tied with Rafael Nadal, 36, for most grand slam titles at 22, respectively.
Djokovic, along with Nadal and Roger Federer, 41, are the three greatest men’s tennis players of all time. The Serb has not been forced into retirement because of injury as Federer. Nadel’s tennis future appears uncertain because of his injuries.
Meanwhile, there are four Grand Slam tournaments held annually; the Australian Open in January; the French Open in late May to early June; Wimbledon in late June to early July, and the US Open in August–September.
Djokovic could easily win another two or three grand slams this year, including at the US Open in August where he’s the favorite to win should pandemic era restrictions be lifted for foreigners.
The Serb declined to take the Covid-19 vaccine, which prevented him from participating during the 2022 Australian Open and the 2022 US Open, respectively. He was, of course, a favorite to win either of the two grand slams if he had participated.

But other than Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, 24, who the Serb defeated in the Australian Open final, is a top player who can potentially win a grand slam this year. The Greek is currently ranked as the number three in the world, behind Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, 19.
Alcaraz, who won his first grand slam at the 2022 US Open, clearly has a promising career ahead of him and can potentially win either of the three upcoming ones this year, experts believe.
Nick Kyrgios, 27, who enjoyed a phenomenal season last year even defeated Nadal at Wimbledon but lost to Djokovic in the final, could also potentially win a grand slam this year.
While the Australian is one of the most talent players within the world of men’s tennis, his success will be tied to how he applies himself as he still doesn’t have a coach. The question, of course, is whether he can win seven consecutive matches against the top in the world, but Wimbledon is his best chance, experts believe.

Casper Ruud, 24, also enjoyed a phenomenal season last year when he made it to two grand slam finals, the French Open and the US Open. In the latter, Ruud lost to Alcaraz. Because of these results, expectations are high for him. The Norwegian could potentially win a grand slam this year as well.
Francis Tiafo, 24, also enjoyed a phenomenal season last year and could potentially win a grand slam tournament this year as well. At the 2022 US Open, where he ultimately lost to Alcaraz during the semifinal in what was a nailbiter of a match; it could be only a matter of time before he reaches the final of a grand slam tournament, experts believe. The same goes for Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime, 22.
